We chose a super casual look for Brooke's third outfit. The cute orange top came from Bella B and Brooke added her favorite shorts. You can create a great look for your senior portrait session by getting one new item and styling it with items already in your closet. No shoes needed for this fun look!
Professional hair and makeup is something I always recommend for senior portraits. Although it is optional, it can really make the difference between liking and loving your portraits. For this model shoot with Brooke, Ruby Villalobos of Heritage Salon in Arroyo Grande worked her magic, giving Brooke beautiful loose waves and a glowy makeup look that really accentuated her eyes. Ruby is so, so talented and I love what she does with my senior clients. She also offers my clients a special discount....make sure to ask me about it when you book your senior portrait session!
For this shoot, I chose download San Luis Obispo as the location. SLO has so many great buildings and storefronts with a variety of colors and textures. Unlike shooting at the beach or a rural setting, a downtown shoot lends itself to getting a little more dressed up. A couple of weeks ahead of time, Brooke and I went to Bella B to find outfits for this shoot. We found MANY great options but finally narrowed it down to three outfits, including this adorable floral romper. Thank you Bella B for providing an awesome wardrobe for this shoot!
With senior portrait season just around the corner, it's the perfect time to share some photos from my Class of 2020 Senior Model shoot with Brooke. Brooke is a student at San Luis Obispo High School, and she has been one of my favorite models for creative shoots over the past couple of years. Not only is she stunning and fun to be around, she is comfortable in front of the camera and willing to try lots of different poses and expressions and we always get amazing images!
Brooke's second outfit was a leopard print jumpsuit that was so fun and looked fantastic on her. Simple jewelry and nude heels completed the look. I love the contrast of the print against the turquoise paint on this historic San Luis Obispo Building.
