Samantha's senior portrait session was really special. I've known Samantha since she was in middle school, so I've seen her grow from girl to teen to graduating senior in what seemed like the blink of an eye. It was so fun to capture her senior portraits as she was heading into her final chapter of high school. Samantha chose Cuesta Park in San Luis Obispo for her session, and we got some great light and diverse backgrounds during her shoot.
Thank you so much Samantha for a fantastic senior portrait session! I can't wait to see where the future takes you.

Just a couple of hours before we started shooting, Samantha lopped off several inches of hair, going from long hair to this adorable lob style. The cut as well as hair styling and makeup are by Ruby Villalobos of Heritage Salon in Arroyo Grande. It takes a lot of confidence to make a major change like this on the day of your senior portrait session, but this shorter cut really suited Samantha and she looked gorgeous for her session.

We had a special guest for Samantha's session: her sweet boxer Duke! Though he looks fierce, he is a gentle sweetheart and it was fun to get some cute shots of Sam and Duke interacting. I absolutely welcome dogs on senior portrait sessions! All it requires is a little extra planning and a friend or family member to handle the dog when we're not shooting with him or her. Just look at that face!
