Samantha's Ballet Portraits

For our location, we chose the Leaning Pine Arboretum on the Cal Poly campus. It's beautiful gardens complimented Samantha's technique perfectly, and we even shot near some of the greenhouses, which provided great light for portraits!
Samantha is a high school freshman and a member of Movement Arts Collective, a San Luis Obispo-based dance company. Dancers at her level train for many hours each week, and Sam does an amazing job of balancing her busy weeks, even finding time for photo shoots!
With theater venues closed and ballet performances mostly cancelled due to Covid-19, I have seriously missed shooting with dancers! So I was very excited for the opportunity to shoot with Samantha, and beautiful ballerina who trains at SLO Movement Arts Center in San Luis Obispo.
Thank you so much Samantha coming so well prepared for our shoot, and for being awesome to work with! I can't wait to see you perform on stage again very soon.
