I also shoot a lot of headshots for dance and theater kids through my work with Coastal Performing Arts Foundation. These talented kids amaze me with their ability to "bring it" for the camera, each one showing off their unique personality that really comes through in the final images. And they're amazing on stage too!
Headshots are used in many ways.......for resumes, performing arts auditions, business and commercial websites, promotional materials, and also for personal use. When I'm working with a client on headshots, I first try to understand the purpose for their heashots, and get to know a little bit about their business and personality, so I can create images that suit their needs and showcase the amazing person they are.
